14th Annual Golden Trailer Award Show Announces Nominees
In the current world we live in the announcement of a movie trailer becomes a spectacle on par with the debut of that very same movie. I know it’s something we joke about, but do you realize how insane it is that we have trailers for trailers now? And while we complain about it, most of us still give in to the urge and gobble up those bits of teasers.
So it shouldn’t surprise anyone that there’s an award show to honor those two minute clips that drive us wild with passion. And you know what? I think it’s totally justified. How many of us have been suckered into a terrible movie because of a great trailer? I saw the first Ghost Rider because the trailer for it was pretty damn fantastic. On the flipside, there have been plenty of good movies that were misrepresented or ruined by poorly done trailers.
The creation of a trailer is truly an art form that can make or break a film and it’s a talent that should be recognized and appreciated.
This year the 14th annual Golden Trailer Award show will be held in Beverly Hills, California at the Saban Theater. Rob Schneider and Aisha Taylor are hosting this year’s event, which is quite possibly the strangest pairing of hosts I’ve ever heard of. It’s like night and day, you couldn’t get two people more different.
If you’re interested in attending the event you can purchase tickets on Brown Paper. Get them soon, they’re sure to sell out quick.

Below are the nominees for the best horror movie trailer. Now, when you vote on these trailers don’t vote on which movie was the best, you have to focus on which trailer does the best job of getting you excited for the movie.
