All New Clip From Julia’s Eyes
Guillem Morales upcoming Spanish flick Julia’s Eyes which is produced by Guillermo del Toro appears to be on the same level of creepiness as The Orphanage.
With the film set to hit UK cinemas on the 20th May, we have a clip courtesy of the guys over at Empire Online which you can view below.
“The scene shows Julia (The Orphanage’s Belén Rueda) grappling with the mysterious death of her twin sister Sara (also Belén Rueda), when all kinds of sinister carry-ons start to take place. Sara’s death looked like suicide but Julia believes darker forces at a play, and it seems like she might be right. Well, that light didn’t turn itself off.”
Julia’s Eyes is written and directed by Guillem Morales and co-written by Oriol Paulo which stars Belen Rueda, Lluis Homar, Pablo Derqui, Francesc Orella and Joan Dalmau.
Synopsis: “Julia returns to Bellevue with her husband to visit her sister Sarah, who is near blind due to a degenerative illness for which she has unsuccessfully undergone surgery. When they arrive, Julia finds that Sarah has taken her own life and none of her mysterious neighbors seem to be all that surprised. Julia has to confront not only the loss of her sister, but also the loss of all hope halting her own impending blindness, as she suffers from the same illness and would appear to be destined for the same end as her sister.”
