Anderson Talks Resident Evil: Retribution Plot
We have recently been inundated with cast members returning to the Resident Evil franchise which has left us scratching our head at three possible scenarios the film could go in. Perhaps it will be a prequel or maybe just loads of flashbacks or something completely random like, cybernetic zombies.
While there is still no word as to what the film will entail, Paul W.S. Anderson recently spoke to Collider and gave them a little insight which my friends, I do not like the sound of.
As we know, the Las Plagas parasite makes an appearance and Anderson has gave some insight as to how they will be used;
“We’re bringing in the Las Plagas parasite, which I love because it allows the undead to basically run around, ride motorbikes, and shoot machine guns, which no one’s done before.”
He also went on to mention that a lot of fans have been asking for certain characters to finally make an appearance in the film which he briefly touched on;
” …Leon Kennedy, Ada Wong, and Barry Burton. We really went out of our way to get people who looked as much like their characters as possible from the game…This actor Johann Urb, who I’m very excited to be working with, not only is he a really good actor but he looks like Leon Kennedy.
You can catch the entire video interview over at Collider.com. Unfortunately the zombies riding motorcycles does not appeal to me one bit, however the inclusion of Chris, Ada and Barry is awesome, just not zombies with machine guns and motorcycles, maybe its just me.
The film stars Milla Jovovich, Sienna Guillory, Colin Salmon, Shawn Roberts, Boris Kodjoe, Oded Fehr and Michelle Rodriguez. Resident Evil: Retribution hits theatres on September 14, 2012.
