Anne Hathaway to Star in Alien Invasion Flick ‘The Shower’

Anne Hathaway is no stranger to space adventures, but her next run in with out of this world elements is going to take place closer to home.

According to Hollywood Reporter Anne Hathaway is to produce and star in comedy/sci-fi/horror film “The Shower.”  The film is being described as “Attack the Block” meets “Bridesmaid” and if they can nail a perfect union of those two films than I’d be thrilled.  Here’s the premise from THR:

The story begins with a bright baby shower when the guests find themselves under darker skies: a meteor shower. These meteors, however, turn men into blood-hungry aliens and the women must fight to not only save themselves but also the world.

At this point Hathaway is the only one attached to the star in the film, but I have to imagine that some comedic actresses will be flocking to this.  The film is also without a director at this point, but that should be sorted out soon enough.  The only other talent attached to the project is Jac Schaeffer who wrote the script.
