Arnold Schwarzenegger to Meet Shane Black and Talk ‘Predator’
TheArnoldFans caught up with actor Arnold Schwarzenegger while he was attending the “Arnold Sports Festival” in Ohio. The site got to talk with the actor and they wisely asked him about the new “Predator” film that director Shane Black was working on. After all, the script is done and production is expected to start soon, so if Arnold was going to be involved he might know something about it by now, right? Here’s what he had to say:
I haven’t talked with him (Shane Black) yet but I’m going to meet with him for lunch sometime soon. Just as soon as I’m finished with this (Arnold’s Sports Festival) and “The Apprentice” and all this stuff. But I will get together with him. If there is any news, we’ll of course let you know right away. There’s also a meeting coming up soon about Conan, about the project moving forward.
While it’s far from a confirmed appearance in the new “Predator” it’s exciting to hear that Arnold is going to talk to Shane Black about the upcoming sequel. This, at the very least, suggests that their is a plan for a Arnold to have some sort of involvement. The degree of that involvement could be anything though. For all we know Black could just be asking Arnold for his input on the film. Maybe they have a cameo idea they want to pitch to him. Of course, the big hope for “Predator” fans is that Dutch might return and play a role in the new sequel.
With the film set to release on March 2nd, 2018 it’ll probably be some time before we start to hear any concrete information about the new film.
