Brace Yourselves for the ‘Planet of the Sharks’

Ah, The Asylum, these guys hold a special place in my heart as I’m sure they do in yours, it might be hidden deep, but I know it’s there. So, you ready for yet another shark-themed flick? Well, from Mark Atkins comes his TV movie Planet of the Sharks, and you’ve guessed it, sharks are everywhere! But, these aren’t ordinary sharks, these are mutated sharks! Check out the early artwork and details for the film below.

The film stars Alex Anlos, Brandon Auret, Stephanie Beran, and Lindsay Sullivan.

Synopsis: In the near future, glacial melting has covered 98% of earth’s landmass. Sharks have flourished and now dominate the planet, operating as one massive school led by a mutated alpha shark.

Details are slim, but according to their Imdb page, the film is expected to hit TV this July 25, 2016. We’re assuming that the film will be hitting the Syfy channel, but hopefully we will have more for you soon. In the meantime, check out the poster and keep those eyes peeled for any sharks near you.
