Carrie Gets a Cup of Coffee
You know how it is. You’re just minding your own business, getting a cup of coffee, when suddenly an argument breaks out. And before you know it, someone whips out their telekinetic powers and all hell is breaking loose. Typical day in L.A.
Sony Pictures is once again using the viral marketing method in their latest advertisement for the upcoming “Carrie” remake. In previous adverts, people could call a telephone number that connected you with Carrie and her crazed mother. It wasn’t much, but it was still creepy and memorable.
This time they’ve taken the viral method to a new level with a prank video that places a bunch of unknowing patrons in a coffee shop with a telekinetically charged individual. It’s a welcome change from the usual adverts we get for horror movies. Check it out below.
“Carrie”, a remake of the 1976 film by Brian De Palma and based on the Stephen King novel, stars Chloe Moretz as the titular character along with Julianne Moore, Gabrielle Wilde, Judy Greer, and Alex Russell
