Cast and Director Announced for MTV’s Scream TV Series
A Scream TV series has been on the cards for quite some time now and with MTV behind the project, we have been eagerly awaiting more news regarding the project. Sure we have heard all sorts of rumors but today we actually have some concrete news for you guys to chow down on.
Unfortunately it looks as if it debunks earlier reports that Wes Craven would be returning to direct the pilot.
According to The Hollywood Reporter, Jamie Travis will direct the pilot from a script penned by Jay Beattie and Dan Dworkin.
And now for the cast, according to the site, the cast consists of Willa Fitzgerald, Amy Forsyth, John Karna, Carlson Young, and Amadeus Serafini.
Here is the breakdown of the characters;
Fitzgerald will star as Emma Duvall, a classic beauty whose looks and popularity hide a natural shyness and intellectual nature. Her new life with the “in crowd” leaves her estranged from her from childhood best friend, Audrey.
Forsyth’s Audrey Jensen is the daughter of a Lutheran pastor. She’s described as an artsy loner who aspires to be a filmmaker.
Karna is set as Noah Foster, a creative computer genius with a vast knowledge of pop culture and the tech world. He’s best friends with Audrey.
Young will portray Brooke Maddox, the charismatic leader of the popular crew whose personality vacillates between bubbly sweetness and ferocious sex appeal.
Serafini will be Kieran Wilcox, the mysterious new kid in town with a dark side and a tough exterior that hint at experience beyond his years.
So there you have it guys, let us know if you’re interested in this or will you pass it up?
