Check Out the First Trailer for ‘Hellboy’ Starring David Harbour
Remember the heartache we all felt when it was announced that a new “Hellboy” was in the works, but it wouldn’t involve Ron Perlman or Guillermo Del Toro? That was a real downer, but then we found out it was going to be directed by Neil Marshall (“The Descent”) and featuring David Harbour (“Stranger Things”) under the make-up. While not a one-to-one replacement for Del Toro and Perlman, it was promising news.
Well today we have our first look at the upcoming film and, I gotta say, I’m a little perplexed. One of the reasons they gave for not having Perlman and Del Toro come back was that they wouldn’t a different tone for the films and going off of this trailer it appears the tone is almost the same. In fact it may even be more comedic than the original films.
Despite all that, I’m kind of feeling David Harbour as Hellboy and I’m eager to see how this movie unfolds. Check out the trailer for yourself down below.
Based on the graphic novels by Mike Mignola, Hellboy, caught between the worlds of the supernatural and human, battles an ancient sorceress bent on revenge.
“Hellboy” hits theaters on April 12, 2019.
