Check Out the Trailer for Fright Night 2
Everything about the sequel to “Fright Night” is just plain weird. Though I enjoyed the recent remake (blasphemy, I know) it’s no surprise that it didn’t get a theatrical sequel. During it’s theatrical run in 2011 it only made $18 million on a budget of $30 million.
It didn’t seem like the sort of movie that would generate enough interest for a follow-up film, even one that was direct-to-DVD which is what “Fright Night 2″ will be. Then the studio behind the film decided to release the trailer by handing it out to people during San Diego Comic Con and letting them upload it to the web.
And to top it all off, this upcoming sequel to a remake seems more like a remake of a remake based on the description. It’s craziness! But there’s one thing that this film has going for it and it’s how amazing Jamie Murray looks in it. Check it out below.
When high school student Charlie attends a study abroad program with his horror obsessed friend “Evil” Ed and ex-girlfriend AMY in Romania, he soon discovers their young attractive professor Gerri (Jaime Murray) is a real life vampire. Too bad no one believes him. In fact, Evil Ed finds it amusing and it only feeds his vampire obsession. When Gerri turns Ed, Charlie seeks out Peter Vincent, the infamous vampire hunter (well, he plays one on TV) who is in Romania filming his show “Fright Night,” to teach him how to take down Gerri before she gets to Amy, who’s blood will cure Gerri of spending eternity as a vampire.
