Dan Trachtenberg Teams with Paramount Insurge for ‘Valencia’
We have just received word of a new thriller that is on the horizon and it certainly has me intrigued, and hopefully it fits into the genre, but we’re going to run with it anyway as it certainly sounds as if it may.
According to The Wrap, commercials director Dan Trachtenberg, is attached to direct Valencia for Paramount Insurge and Bad Robot, with production planned to begin in the Fall.
Trachtenberg will direct from a script by Dan Casey, who rewrote an earlier draft by Josh Campbell and Matt Stuecken.
The film is said to be a micro-budget feature which will cost around the $5 million mark.
According to the site;
The majority of the movie takes place in an underground cellar, home to a teenage girl and a caretaker. The girl woke up in the cellar after a car accident, at which point her eerie companion tells her a nuclear attack has devastated society. The girl still hopes to escape.
So, what do you guys think of this one so far? Intrigued?
