David Fincher Might Direct ‘World War Z 2’

The last time David Fincher directed a horror sequel things didn’t go so well for the now renowned director.  However, with a few years of experience under his belt and a lot more clout perhaps things will be different this time around.

Variety is reporting that director David Fincher is in talks to possibly direct the sequel to the surprise hit “World War Z” for Paramount.  Possibly the biggest draw for Fincher is the fact that he would once again be working with Brad Pitt who previously worked with Fincher on “Se7en”, “The Curious Case of Benjamin Button”, and “Fight Club.”

So far there isn’t any word on what “World War Z 2” would be about, but I think I say it may possibly be about zombies. Don’t quote me on that.  Right now the film is slated for a Summer 2017 release, but given that there isn’t a director it’s probably safe to assume it’ll be pushed back from that date.  Stay tuned as we wait to see if Fincher officially joins the project.
