Empress Vampire Screams Vintage Hammer
Sadly, over the past few years vampire films have been tainted by the introduction of sparkling vampires. The lust, the blood and the flesh have all been swept away, thanks to a certain franchise known as, Twilight. The whole thing catapulted and for some reason, many films followed suit.
Thankfully films like Stake Land and films in the indie scenes such as Midnight Son and from what I’ve heard, Bite Marks, have managed to maintain some of the horror of times gone by. Now, perhaps we have another one, which may take us back to a time of sexual seduction, when vampires bared flesh and the blood flowed. I’m talking about vampire films of the 70’s, a la Hammer Horror.
With thanks to Undead Backbrain we have a first look at Empress Vampire, my first thought when I seen the images and trailer was, vintage hammer. Perhaps we have a true keeper in keeping the spirit of vampirism alive.
Perhaps I’m alone in this and I’m just talking baloney, but, I think this looks badass with some wonderful practical effects, although it does feature some horrible CGI. Anyway, check out all the information below along with a few stills and the trailer.
