FearCON Features Walking Dead and American Horror Story Cast
If you happen to be making your way through Phoenix, Arizona this Halloween, be sure to stop by Fear Farm just after the 31st to check out celebrities and watch down-home, independent horror movies for Phoenix’s FearCON VI. Kyla Kennedy who played “Mika” and Theo Crane who played “Big Tiny” will be there from the mega-hit The Walking Dead series. There will also be an appearance by Jennifer Lynn Warren from American Horror Story – Coven which you will remember with or without her ghoulish makeup if you were a true fan of the season.
If you’re more a horror genre literary freak (which is a good thing), then you can enjoy special appearances by Hal Astell, Craig Chenery, Sharon Day and Lynn Mullican who are all authors slated to be at the event and available to do book signings. Also, if your a music fan, you can enjoy performance by the Va Va Voom Burlesque Dancers, Suspended Animation by Altitude Aerialists and Deb’s Dragons Interactive Exotic Creatures show.
But FearCON is so much more than just special guests. It also gives local artists a chance to showcase their horror movie shorts and independent features. Winners get a bloody butcher knife statue commemorating their achievement and they look pretty bloody good too. There’s also special guest lectures and panels that include special guest appearances by Scream Queens Tiffany Shepis and Debbie Rochon. They made like over 200 movies combined.
Play Zombie Paintball or let the kiddos run through a Special Kids Zombie Obstacle Course. See
The T.A.R.D.I.S. from Dr.Who, Predators from AZ Desert Destroyers or a Zombie Fashion Runway Show. There’s even a panel titled “The Horror of Dr. Who” for all those Dr. Who fantatics out there. There seems to be one in every family nowadays…
Phoenix FEARCON 2014 is November 1st and 2nd and is located at Arizona Fear Farm. For more information and tickets, visit the Phoenix FearCON site.
