Featurette Exploring the Rise of the Planet of The Apes

Robert Wyatt’s modern day prequel The Rise of The Planet of The Apes may finally reveal the mystery as to how those apes managed to take over in the first place.

When this first hit I was sceptical but then the trailer was released and now I can’t wait for those damned dirty apes to be released once again. To give us a bit of insight into the film we have a short featurette courtesy of the guys over at Empire Online which you can view below.

In case you missed the trailer last time you can check it out here: Rise of the Planet of the Apes Trailer.  Starring James Franco, Freida Pinto, John Lithgow and Andy Serkis Rise of the Apes will be in theaters this August. It is the story of a young scientist developing a drug to cure his ailing father who accidentally changes the world forever.

John Lithgow plays James Francos father who is stricken with Alzheimers which is the basis for the entire chimp uprising. In the film James Franco plays a young scientist looking for a cure who inadvertently turns his apes into super intelligent revolutionary apes. Freida Pinto who starred in Slumdog Millionaire is the female lead playing a primatologist.
