Finn Wolfhard in Talks to Star in ‘Ghostbusters’

Finn Wolfhard might just have the best agent in Hollywood.  After breaking out in “Stranger Things” this kid is nabbing all sorts of high profile young actor roles.  He’s in “It”, he’ll be in “The Addams Family” movie, and he played young Rivers Cuomo in a Weezer music video.  This kid is doing it all and he may gearing up for another big role.

Variety is reporting that Finn Wolfhard is in talks to star in the upcoming “Ghostbusters” movie from director Jason Reitman.  They also report that actress Carrie Coon, who was most recently seen in “Widows” and did an amazing job in “Fargo,” is also in talks to star.

If the talks go through the two will potentially be playing mother and son.  According to the site and recent rumors about the plot, the story will center on a single parent family moving into a new home and somehow discovering a connection to the original Ghostbusters.

We don’t know a whole lot more about what’s going on, but it wouldn’t be surprised if casting news started coming a lot faster as it seems like this one is going to be a high profile project for Sony.
