First Look at the New Adaptation of Stephen King’s ‘Pet Sematary’
I loved the first Pet Sematary movie as I’m sure many of you did, too. And currently I’m finally reading the original novel by Stephen King, which is an absolute blast so far. Shame it took me so long to get around to it. But, on another note, the new adaptation from Paramount Pictures which is helmed by the directing duo of Dennis Widmyer and Kevin Kolsch is gearing up for its release next year and courtesy of Entertainment Weekly, we have our very first look at the new movie.
So far I’m loving the look of this one and I think John Lithgow will give an excellent new take on the character of Jud Crandall, who was played by the late, legendary Fred Gwynne.
The film also stars Jason Clarke, Amy Seimetz, Hugo Lavoie,Lucas Lavoie, and Jeté Laurence.
Synopsis: Based on the seminal horror novel by Stephen King, Pet Sematary follows Dr. Louis Creed (Clarke), who, after relocating with his wife Rachel (Seimetz) and their two young children from Boston to rural Maine, discovers a mysterious burial ground hidden deep in the woods near the family’s new home. When tragedy strikes, Louis turns to his unusual neighbor, Jud Crandall (Lithgow), setting off a perilous chain reaction that unleashes an unfathomable evil with horrific consequences.”
Look for Pet Sematary in theatres this April 5, 2019.
