First Official Trailer for Exists
We’ve been hearing about director Eduardo Sanchez’s new project for some time now and today finally brings us our first good look at it. Sanchez, who previously worked on the “The Blair Witch Project”, is returning to the woods for a new take on the Bigfoot mythos.
“Exists” is a new film from director Eduardo Sanchez and writer Jamie Nash (“V/H/S/2″). Using the found footage-style, the film features a group of friends venturing out to the woods for a weekend getaway. Of course, they soon learn they aren’t alone and the legendary creature known as Bigfoot proves himself to be very real.
The film will be hitting theaters and VOD on October 24th. I’m not sure if it’ll be getting a wide release, but it could potentially have a profitable run thanks to two factors. The first being that the marketing is creating an association with “The Blair Witch Project” and that could have the power to potentially draw people in. The second factor is that there won’t be a “Paranormal Activity” movie opening this Halloween, so that leaves the market wide open for another found footage film to step in. It’ll be interesting to see just how far Lionsgate will take this film. Check out the trailer down below.
