First Plot Details for ‘Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom’ Finally Emerge
The hype machine is putting in work for the upcoming release of the “Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom” trailer. If you’ve been keeping up with the little teases and reveals, you might either be feeling burnt out or overflowing with sweet anticipation. Thankfully, I’ve been trying to ignore it so I’ll feel completely fresh and ready for it tomorrow. However, I can’t ignore this little detail: our first plot detail for the upcoming sequel.
Bryce Dallas Howard, one of the returning stars to “Jurassic World,” spoke to EW and revealed some new details about where the film starts. Apparently that volcano we saw in the previous clip is a pivotal plot point as it’s erupting on the island that the dinos were living on in Jurassic World. So Claire is attempting to get them safely off the island before they’re whipped out again. Here’s what else she had to say to EW:
Claire’s founded an organization, Dinosaur Protection Group, and they’re finding a way to get these dinosaurs off the island. She reaches out to Owen Grady to let him know this is happening. When you see them at the beginning of this story, you get caught up as to what’s going on, but it’s not what you would necessarily expect.
Ooooh. Sounds like Chris Pratt’s rugged good looks and carefree attitude didn’t mesh well with Howard’s no-nonsense sensibilities. Who would have guessed?! I dunno, I’m into the idea of a rescue mission where all the things you’re trying to save can kill you in pretty horrible ways. That’s a pretty good twist to the narrative. Now let us wait patiently for tomorrow’s trailer.
