First Trailer for Scenic Route

Scenic Route has been playing the festival circuit for quite a while now and I’ve been anxiously awaiting the first trailer for it.  It’s not a film that is high on my list of “Must See Movies,” but I’ve been genuinely curious about it since I haven’t heard much.   Well the trailer dropped today, via Deadline, and now I feel like I know too much.

The film stars Josh Duhamel and Dan Fogler as two friends on a long drive.  When their car breaks down they find that they have time to catch up, but unfortunately old wounds begin to surface.  The film is directed by Kevin and Michael Goetz from a script written by Kyle Killen.

I should warn you.  This trailer seems to reveal the whole movie.  It’s pretty spoilerific for a trailer, so if you don’t want to learn too much about the plot, maybe just watch the first minute of the trailer.  The film hits theaters on August 23rd.
