Francis Ford Coppola Backs Jeepers Creepers 3 – Filming to Begin Next Year

Much like Ghostbusters 3, Jeepers Creepers 3 is one of those films that is always on the horizon, yet nothing comes to fruition. I’ve lost count on the dozens of articles we have written regarding updates on the film, but today it actually appears as if the film is really coming together this time.

Our friends over at Variety scored some details pertaining to the third entry into the Jeepers Creepers franchise which includes the original creative team returning once again, that includes writer/director Victor Salva.

Also, Jonathan Breck is returning to play The Creeper and Brandon Smith will reprise his role as Sergeant Davis Tubbs.

And get this, Francis Ford Coppola is returning to back the film with Myriad Pictures financing the flick. Coppola’s American Zoetrope shingle produced the first two Creeper films.

Writing and directing a new Jeepers film, the first in over a decade, is incredibly exciting. For me and I believe for Jeepers fans all over the world that have been asking for more.

What will go before cameras as Jeepers Creepers 3 is a new and terrifying chapter from the Jeepers universe. We are bringing back the Creeper’s truck, and will be addressing the big questions about The Creeper: what it is, where it came from and why it does what it does.

More exciting though, this will easily be the most frightening rollercoaster -ride -of- a-Jeepers film that has been made to date.

In the past we have had stories regarding a third entry, but this feels like the film is really happening this time, all the pieces of the puzzle are in place, so I’d keep those eyes peeled as I’m sure we will be hearing much more from the Creeper soon.
