Gary Shore to Direct Dracula Year Zero?

Perhaps Universal have finally found the right director to helm their latest vampire flick, Dracula Year Zero.

According to Variety, Gary Shore is in early negotiations to helm Dracula Year Zero. If talks go forward this will mark his directorial debut with Universal Pictures.

The film “is described as a mixture of vampire mythology that revolves around the true story of Vlad the Impaler and the possible origins of Dracula.”

Matt Sazama and Burk Sharpless wrote the latest draft of  the script and Michael De Luca will be producing the film.

Sam Worthington was at one time attached to topline the project, it is know unknown it that is still the case or not.
