George Romero’s New Zombie Project ‘Empire of the Dead’ Is About Vampires

George Romero’s newest projecte Empire of the Dead has officially landed and two new pieces of art have been released by marvel promoting book 2 and 3 of the mini series.

Empire of the Dead is a 15 issue series for MARVEL and the artwork is done by world renowned artist Alex Maleev. The graphic novel is far from being a retread of The Walking Dead since this one features zombies vs humans vs vampires.

The Empire of the Dead plot goes as follows

Welcome to New York City years after the plague has hit.  But just because the Big Apple has been quarantined doesn’t mean that everyone inside is safe!  Flesh-eating zombies roam within the confines of Manhattan…but they’re not the only predator that’s poised and ready to strike!  Who or what is this new menace?
