Get a Kick Out of the Trailer for “Goal of the Dead”
Unless you speak French, you may not understand much of what’s going on in this trailer for the new French zombie-comedy “Goal of the Dead”. But that’s okay, the need to smash a zombie’s skull transcends all language barriers.
Blending sport and horror into a unique mash-up, “Goal of the Dead” is looking to capitalize on the world’s most popular sport: soccer.
The two-part film centers around a French Olympic football team who visits a small village in Northern France to play a crucial game in the run-up to the World Cup. But as the Apocalypse looms, an epidemic quickly spreads and transforms the players, spectators and inhabitants into strange and enraged creatures.
The film is set to release on VOD and theaters on the same day in the lead up to the World Cup.
