Godzilla Attacks San Diego Comic-Con!
Brace yourself, I have devastating news. Reports are coming in that the giant beast known as “Godzilla” has attacked a warehouse in San Diego. The photos we have below are shocking.
The San Diego Comic-Con is only nine days away, but Legendary Pictures is already hard at work making sure that their presence is felt at this years event. However, you can rest assured that they wont be the only company making big advertising statements like the one below. While the fact that Comic-Con has become a playground for major movie studios might be an annoyance to some comic fans, it’s still rather cool to see what sort of gimmicky advertising the PR teams come up with.
In anticipation of Legendary Pictures’ Godzilla panel on Saturday, July 19th, the studio has taken over a warehouse and decorated it with giant claw marks and their logo. There’s nothing on it that says “Godzilla” but I can’t imagine what else it could be.
Twitter users @mynameiscedric and @DailyActor snapped a couple of pictures of the building-sized ad that you can view below. The film hits theaters on May 16, 2014 and stars Aaron Taylor-Johnson, Ken Watanabe, Elizabeth Olsen, Juliette Binoche, David Strathairn, Bryan Cranston and Sally Hawkins. The film is being directed by Gareth Edwards who previously handled “Monsters.”
