Hostel: Part III Review
While attending a bachelor party in Las Vegas, four friends are enticed by two sexy escorts to join them at a private party way off the Strip. Once there, they are horrified to find themselves the subjects of a perverse game of torture, where members of the Elite Hunting Club are hosting the most sadistic show in town.
When a sequel from a well known franchise gets a straight to DVD release instead of a theatrical release you know that the studio don’t have enough faith in the film, which isn’t a good sign. Fact is after watching this it’s even hard to figure out why it got released at all. Hostel: Part III is a weak entry in the franchise, a very weak entry. It has none of the charm of the previous 2 films, yes it’s the same basic storyline of it’s predecessors but the acting is truly awful, now I’ve seen my fair share of bad Horror films, especially bad acting but this is easily one of the worst.
The Hostel films are known for there use of gore, which once again is used in this film, the problem is, is that the gore scenes are very uninspired and where as before there was an anxious build up to the gore scenes, there’s none of that here. There’s no nail biting ‘Oh my god, he isn’t going to do that is he?’ it’s just straight up gore, basically Gore for gore’s sake.
If I where you I’d avoid this, there’s much better out there to watch than this, don’t worry you won’t be missing anything, you’d actually be doing yourself, your time and your wallet a favour.
