Is Don Mancini Teasing the Start of ‘Chucky 7’?

In 2013 Chucky, the infamous serial killer doll, enjoyed a return to form with the release of “Curse of Chucky.”  The film was well received by both fans and critics and it seemed like we were in for a new age of Chucky films.  And while things have been quiet on the Chucky front for the last few years, it seems like something might be finally stirring.

Over the last couple of days Twitter has become abuzz with Chucky talk as Don Mancini has started to tease his followers with talk about filming “Chucky 7.”  While far from any sort of official announcement, this is the most we’ve heard about “Chucky 7” in some time.  What’s even more interesting is who Mancini has been talking too.  Here are the tweets I’m talking about:

This tweet was directed at Jennifer Tilly who played Tiffany in “The Bride of Chucky” and subsequent Chucky films.

Seems like Tilly might be back for “Chucky 7”, but what of our heroine from “Curse of Chucky”? Seems like Fiona Dourif might be back as well.

Of course, without official confirmation of anything this is just three people chatting it up on Twitter.  Still, all this teasing might be a sign that something official is coming soon.  So keep your eyes peeled, “Chucky 7” may be in our near future.
