Is Jurassic Park IV Actually A Remake?
Sometimes you just have to scratch your head and think, just what the heck are these guys thinking!? But, all may not be lost just yet, I just ask you all to take this tidbit of news with a grain of salt as this is just a rumor at the moment, but it certainly gets you thinking.
As I’m sure you’re all aware, earlier this month it was announced that Jurassic Park IV was being put on hold so they could develop the script further with Rick Jaffa and Amanda Silver. But I’m sure there is more to it than just that. The film is also rumored to feature government trained dinosaurs that carry weapons and yeah, its just sounding a little too ridiculous.
But what ever the case, Jurassic Park IV is on hold. What is interesting though is that Sam Neill, who played Dr. Alan Grant in Steven Spielberg’s 1993 flick Jurassic Park, mentioned this little tidbit in regards to Jurassic Park IV, over at The Dominion Post;
I’m told it’s a big reboot, a total re-jig
This could just be a total joke, but considering the current issues with the proposed sequel, and with Jurassic Park 3-D doing so well in theatres, it does make you think that perhaps the next Jurassic Park film will in fact be a reboot.
As I’ve stated, this is all just a rumor now and nothing has been confirmed, but what do you guys think? Could there be some truth to this? And would you be up for a remake of Jurassic Park or another sequel? Sound off below and let us know.
