Jamie Foxx Wants to Play Spawn

For awhile now a possible Spawn reboot has been on the table. Todd McFarlane has talked about taking the film back to it’s roots and has been working on a script recently.

However, recently news about an upcoming Spawn film has been quiet and seems less and less likely all the time. Today however it seems that Jamie Foxx is pushing for the film to be made.

During an interview with Movies.com he stated there are still projects he’s trying to make happen, including an adaptation of the comic character Spawn, as well as a biopic about Mike Tyson. “Spawn is one, yeah. And Mike Tyson. Those are two roles I would just love to do. I’m aggressively pursuing them“.

This would be interesting. Jamie Foxx has some acting chops but it will be interesting to see how he does as Electro in Amazing Spider-Man 2 first. This does add a high profile name to the project however which could possibly mean some studios might get interested.
