‘Jurassic World 3’ Gets a Release Date to the Surprise of No One
Alright, I admit that I’m eager to see “Jurassic World 2.” It’s got explosions and big dinosaurs and my simple brain is delighted by that. And when it hits it’ll probably get mixed to positive reviews with critics and do gangbusters in the box office. So, yeah, it makes sense that Universal is already planning for the future, but damn does it feel early to announce another sequel.
Universal has come out today and revealed that “Jurassic World 3” is coming and it already has a release date and screenwriter attached to it. Emily Carmichael, who is co-writing the upcoming “Pacific Rim” sequel, will co-write “Jurassic World 3” with Colin Trevorrow. And they’ll have plenty of time to figure out that script as the film won’t release until June 11, 2021. No word on who will be returning for the third film or who will even be directing it, but Trevorrow did say in a statement to Deadline that this would be the concluding chapter in their Jurassic world trilogy.
So what do you say? Got one more left in the tank? Personally, I’ll let you know after I see “Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom” on June 22, 2018.
