Karen Black Has Passed Away

We have some terrible news to share with you.  Actress Karen Black has passed away today at the age of 74.  The actress, famous for her roles in films like “The Great Gatsby”, “House of a 1000 Corpses”, and “Five Easy Pieces”, had been locked in a struggle with cancer for some time now.  Things seemed to be taking a turn this week when her husband, Stephen Eckelberry, wrote a piece on their blog to discuss how the family was preparing itself for the worst.

Then, earlier today, he took to Facebook to make the announcement that his wife had passed away.

It is with great sadness that I have to report that my wife and best friend, Karen Black has just passed away, only a few minutes ago.  Thank you all for all your prayers and love, they meant so much to her as they did to me.
