Kevin Williamson is Putting Together a TV Series Adaptation of ‘Time After Time’ for NBC
Man, it is impossible to talk about “Time after Time” without getting the song stuck in your head. I’m trying to talk about a time traveling Jack the Ripper film here and all I can think about is Cindy Lauper. I’ll do my best to try not to break out into a sappy solo.
Kevin Williamson, the man who wrote “Scream” and “The Following”, is returning to television once again with a new adaptation. According to Deadline Williamson is putting together an adaptation of the novel/film “Time After Time” for ABC.
“Time After Time” is a a 1979 thriller which starred Malcolm McDowell and David Warner. In the film McDowell plays a young H.G. Wells who discovers how to make a time machine. Wells then shows off his creation to a group of friends, not realizing that one of them (Warner) is actually Jack the Ripper. When Jack is on the verge of being caught he steals Wells’ time machine and escapes to modern day San Francisco. Wells then pursues Jack to bring him back to justice.
