Lena Headey and Charles Dance Join ‘Pride and Prejudice and Zombies’
“Pride and Prejudice and Zombies” will soon be drawing interest from every corner of geekdom. Obviously you have the literary geeks by using Jane Austen’s “Pride and Prejudice” as the source. Then you have the zombie fanatics by injecting the undead into it. Recently they snagged the interest of Doctor Who fans by casting Matt Smith and now it looks like “Game of Thrones” viewers will have a reason to check it out.
Deadline is reporting that Lena Headey (Cersei from “Game of Thrones”) and Charles Dance (Tywin from “Game of Thrones”) have been cast in “Pride and Prejudice and Zombies.” Given their relationship on the show, I can’t wait to see who they’ll be playing in the movie.
Deadline has also learned that Screen Gems has bought the feature and will help distribute it. No word on when it’ll release yet.
“Pride and Prejudice and Zombies” follows Elizabeth Bennet (Lily James) as she navigates the culture of 19th century England and the uncertain waters of love and marriage. However, in this particular version, Elizabeth has to also contend with the undead as they try to eat the brains of her and her loved ones.
