‘Let The Right One In’ Secures a Pilot Order with TNT
It was announced last year that a TV series based upon Let The Right One In was on the cards, and that the series was heading to towards A&E, and then quickly switched to TNT, but that was the last we heard. However, it appears as if things have moved rather quickly. According to Deadline, TNT has finalized a deal for a pilot order to Let the Right One In, and they will by drawing from the original source material, the novel by Swedish author John Ajvide Lindqvist.
Jeff Davis (“Criminal Minds”) wrote the script and serves as executive producer with Marty Adelstein (“Aquarius”, “Teen Wolf”) and Becky Clements (“Aquarius”) of Tomorrow Studios and Simon Oakes (Let Me In) of Hammer Films.
“Let the Right One In is an eerie drama about a young boy, long tormented by his classmates, who finds solace in a friendship with a charismatic female vampire who appears to be near his age. The vampire settles into the boy’s small Vermont town with her mysterious caretaker, just as a series of bizarre murders begins attracting the attention of law enforcement.”
At this time we have no news as to when the pilot will air, but we’ll keep you updated.
