Lifeforce to be Developed as a TV Series
There was once a time when television was dominated by comedies and horror shows were few and far between, and now look where TV is, horror-themed TV shows are popping up everywhere and it really is a great time.
I mean, while TV may have taken a hit by the numerous reality shows, we have been treated to some breathtaking original shows in recent times. But how about an adaptation Colin Wilson’s 1976 novel The Space Vampires? Well, that appears to be what’s on the cards.
According to Deadline, Beverly Hills-based Ringleader Studios (The Amityville Horror: The Lost Tapes) has acquired rights to adapt Colin Wilson’s 1976 novel The Space Vampires for television. As you know, the novel was adapted into the feature film Lifeforce, from director Tobe Hooper.
The site reports that Ringleader is also looking to create a graphic novel, a video game and additional media tie-ins as well as the planned series.
It is still very early days, so a TV series may not happen, but if things go well and everything falls into place, we may well be seeing Lifeforce back on our screens as a TV series. So, with this announcement, what do you guys think?
