Lionsgate Picks Up Texas Chainsaw Massacre 3D
The Texas Chainsaw Massacre 3D aka Leatherface 3D recently revealed that the ever awesome Bill Moseley would be returning to the franchise he once starred in. I’m still very sceptical about the movie, but having Moseley onboard makes it that much sweeter.
Anyway, according to The Hollywood Reporter, U.K. distributor Lionsgate U.K. have snapped up the U.K. theatrical rights for The Texas Chainsaw Massacre 3D, so it looks as if the sequel will not be going straight to video.
The Texas Chainsaw Massacre 3D is set to be directed by John Luessenhop, penned by Debra Sullivan, Adam Marcus and Stephen Susco with Kirsten Elms and John Luessenhop doing recent re-writes. The film has secured Bill Moseley to play the character ‘Drayton’.
Texas Chainsaw Massacre 3D is said to indeed be a direct sequel to Tobe Hooper’s 1974 original film which follows Heather, who along with her friends, travel to Texas in order to collect an inheritance. The spin? What would you do if you found out your cousin was Leatherface, and he was now YOURS?
