Luca Guadagnino Says that ‘Suspiria’ Remake Will Star Tilda Swinton and Dakota Johnson
You might remember some time last year director Luca Guadagnino landed the gig of directing a “Suspiria” remake. At the time he said he wanted to reunite with his cast from “A Big Splash” which included Tilda Swinton and and Dakota Johnson. Well it seems like those plans are still continuing forward.
During a Q&A session yesterday director Luca Guadagnino outlined his plans for the upcoming “Suspiria” remake. Among them included the casting of actress Tilda Swinton and Dakota Johnson. It’s unclear if they’re officially cast in the film, but Luca seems pretty dead set on it so I’m sure it’ll happen. Luca also indicated that he wanted composer John Adams to work on the film and that he wants to set the movie in Berlin 1977.
For the uninitiated “Suspiria” is a 1977 Dario Argento film about a young woman attending a ballet school. However, things go sideways when people start to die and she suspects that evil forces might be at play.
