Michael Chiklis Joins American Horror Story
Last night was the final panel in the annual PaleyFest gathering in Beverly Hills, California. Every year a handful of TV shows are selected to come down to the iconic Paley Center for a tribute/panel discussion. Usually the cast and crew of the TV shows appear to answer questions and talk about their experiences. On Friday night the “American Horror Story” group took to the stage and, in typical fashion, made some announcements about the upcoming season.
Actor Michael Chiklis (“The Shield”) appeared on stage to break the news that he would be starring in the upcoming season of “American Horror Story: Freak Show.” While they didn’t divulge too much about his character, they did admit that he would be playing the father of Evan Peters’ character and the ex-husband of Kathy Bates’.
It was announced earlier this month that the new season of “American Horror Story” would carry the subtitle of “Freak Show” and would be set in Florida in the 1950′s. Jessica Lange will return as a former German ex-pat who is operating one of the last surviving freak shows in America. Kathy Bates, Sarah Paulson, Evan Peters, Angela Bassett, and Frances Conroy will return as the participants in her show whom she has rescued over the years.
