Michael Ealy Joins ‘Jacob’s Ladder’ Reboot
It’s been a long while since we heard anything about the “Jacob’s Ladder” remake, but it looks like the project is still moving along. We first learned that the classic supernatural thriller was getting a remake way back in 2013, but at the time we only knew that the project had a writer. Now we know will be starring and directing the feature.
According to Variety Michael Ealy has signed on for “Jacob’s Ladder” which will be directed by David Rosenthal. Rosenthal and Ealy previously worked together on the domestic thriller “The Perfect Guy.” The film will be written by Jeff Buhler (“Midnight Meat Train”) and Sarah Thorpe (“The Last Intervention”).
Now here’s the part that I find really interesting. The plot of the film hasn’t been fully revealed, but Variety has this little snippet that describes the film as a “modern-day paranoid action thriller about two brothers.” Action thriller, huh? Alright.
The original “Jacob’s Ladder” starred Tim Robinson as a Vietnam veteran who suffers increasingly bizarre hallucinations and attempts to discover the truth behind them.
Stay tuned for more details.
