Mike Flanagan’s Netflix Series ‘The Haunting of Hill House’ Gets a Trailer
I must confess, my only exposure to the “Haunting of Hill House” was the 1999 Liam Neeson movie that was… Man, I don’t know. All I remember about that movie is Owen Wilson acts like a child and gets his head ripped off in a radical way. I’ve never seen the original 1963 film, but by all accounts I hear it’s quite good. Well, now the story is getting another adaptation and this time it’s coming by way of Mike Flanagan.
Over the last few years Mike has become one of my favorite horror movie directors, so the idea that Netflix is giving him a 10 episode series to play around with is pretty damn exciting. Mike’s newest work as an adaptation of “The Haunting of Hill House” and stars the likes of McKenna Grace, Carla Gugino, Timothy Hutton, Henry Thomas, and Michiel Huisman.
In the series a tragedy brings a troubled family back together to confront their past and the haunted mansion that they grew up in. Check out the trailer down below. “Haunting of Hill House” is set to hit Netflix on October 12th.
