Monster Brawl (2011) Review
Creature Conference:
Werewolf, Swamp Gut, Bitch Witch and Cyclops.
Undead Conference:
Lady Vampire, The Mummy, Zombie Man and Frankenstein.
In each conference there are two middle weights and two heavy weights. The middle weights take on each other within their own conference for the title. Then the heavy weights take on there respective opponents in their conference which leads to a ultimate heavy weight brawl between the Creature and Undead conference winners.
It all takes place in a secret graveyard under the narration of the iconic Lance Henriksen (Aliens, AvP, Scream 3), each fight is set up with a story of the fighters and how they came to take part in Monster Brawl. Buzz Chambers and Sid “Sasquatch” Tucker provide the commentary, Jimmy Hart (WWF fame) introduces the fighters to ring and Herb Dean (UFC) steps into the ring to referee.
There’s no surprises here as the acting is cheesy and the cheap effects provide some blood and guts to go along with the wrestling action. This “popcorn” horror comedy is a movie for a night in with friends, a few beers and a laugh.
