NBC Moves Hannibal to Saturday Night
This is a public service announcement for people who watch “Hannibal” on Thursday nights. If you tune in to watch “Hannibal” at it’s regularly scheduled time this week you’ll find yourself watching a hot new episode of “Dateline Thursday Mysteries” instead. After announcing the cancellation of “Hannibal” a few weeks ago, NBC has decided to bury the show on Saturday nights.
NBC announced this week that “Hannibal” will now air on Saturday nights at 10pm starting this week. They’ve also moved the David Duchovny show “Aquarius” to Saturday as well, putting it on in the 9pm slot. I guess we should be thankful that they’re even airing the rest of the season, but it seems like a damn shame to quietly push the show aside like this.
Meanwhile, Executive Producer Bryan Fuller is still trying to find a new home for “Hannibal” even suggesting that they could potentially make a new feature film. That seems like a long shot, but I suppose anything is possible these days.
