New Costume Quest 2 Screenshots

Easily one of my most anticipated games of the year is a little project with a whole lot of charm.  ”Costume Quest 2″ will finally launch later this year in October and we have some new screenshots that give us a better idea of what the game is about.

Double Fine debuted the screenshots below on their tumblr page, which you can visit here, and confirmed that the game would be releasing on virtually every console. This includes the Wii U, Linux, Mac, XBox 360, XBox One, PS3, and PS4.

As you might be able to surmise from the screenshots below, it would appear that the twins (Reynold and Wren) have changed locations and moved to a New Orleans-style town.  Given the history of New Orleans and their association with costumes, it seems like the perfect setting for a game of this nature.

Polygon also confirmed that the story will be taking place immediately after the ending of “Grubbins on Ice.”  They also revealed that the Candy Corn will be a playable costume this time around. Except that it does absolutely nothing and spits out humorous lines about why it does nothing.  It’s essentially a hilariously dumb way to make the game a bit more challenging.  Check out their article for more details about the upcoming game and journey below to see the screenshots.
