New Full-Length Trailer for The Purge: Anarchy
If the first trailer for “The Purge: Anarchy” left you wanting a bit more, you’ll be glad to know that the newest trailer offers a better look at the upcoming sequel. We also finally get to see actor Frank Grillo, who was strangely absent from the first trailer despite being listed as the lead.
It was always assumed that the new “Purge” would have a strong shift in tone and setting. The original film attempted to create a unique universe, but grounded it in a typical home invasion scenario. This time around, it looks like a good chunk of the action takes place in the street. The trailer almost has a dystopian wasteland vibe to it that truly sets it apart from the first film.
Check out the new trailer below. “The Purge: Anarchy” is directed and written by James DeMonaco and stars Frank Grillo, Zach Gilford, Michael K Williams, and Kiele Sanchez. It’s expected to hit theaters on July 18th.
