Patrick Lussier’s & Todd Farmer’s Ghost Rider 2 Was Too Violent
Word is, Ghost Rider: Spirit of Vengeance pretty much sucked. Apparently the majority of people who have seen it hated it. I haven’t seen it yet, but I don’t have any intentions to either. Now while this one bombed, there is one version out there that has been classified as “too violent”. The word’s “too violent” has me standing front and centre, and yes, we could have had a violent Ghost Rider 2.
Recently Todd Farmer took to his blog writing an article detailing what if the studios went with his and Lussier’s take. While I haven’t seen the version that is in theatres, I must say that Farmer’s and Lussier’s version sounds pretty badass, here’s what Todd Farmer mentioned on his blog.
“During one of our many meetings, De Luca, who had produced Ghost Rider, suggested we come up with a pitch for Ghost Rider 2. We said yes with much enthusiasm. So Mike set a meeting with Avi Arad that we might meet and discuss the franchise.
When we returned we were pumped. We had nailed it. It may seem arrogant to say that but DUH. Isn’t that the point? Why would you ever go back if you didn’t think you nailed it?”
In the end, while everyone seemed to love it, Avi returned with the blow stating, “it was too violent.”
So that was that. If you would like to read the script of what could have been, hit up the link HERE and see what you make of Todd Famer & Patrick Lussier’s version.
