Philip Seymour Hoffman to Star in Catching Fire?

The sequel to Lionsgate’s The Hunger Games is waiting for no man as it storms long at a frighting pace. While we know Jennifer Lawrence will be returning, just who else could be joining the fold?

Well, according to The Hollywood Reporter, Philip Seymour Hoffman (pictured right) has received an official offer to star in Catching Fire as Plutarch Heavensbee.

“Heavensbee is the new gamemaker of the life-and-death games, the same position occupied by actor Wes Bentley in the first movie.”

Lionsgate is currently looking to begin filming this September with Francis Lawrence helming this one.
