Poster & Trailer For Dark Norwegian Tale Thale
Our friends over in Norway are quickly becoming a force to be reckoned with with a slew of films on the way and of course the genre favorite The Troll Hunter. It looks as if they have yet another folktale they world needs to see, and Thale has me thoroughly intrigued.
The film is said to follow the Nordic wood spirit known as the Huldra. Now, this is the first time I have heard of this thing, but it makes an awesome fantasy-horror flick.
The huldra is “a seductive forest spirit who appears from the front to be a beautiful young woman but who also has a cow’s tale and whose back appears to be like a hollowed out tree, the huldra has been known to offer rewards to those who satisfy them sexually and death to those who fail to do so. They are also prone to stealing human babies.”
Anyway, Thale is written & directed by Aleksander Nordaas and is set for a release in Norway next month. Our friends over at Twitch have scored two English-subbed teaser trailers for the flick, so head on over their and give them a watch.
