Rosario Dawson Joins ‘Zombieland 2’ and We Get a New Image and Synposis
I still don’t believe “Zombieland 2” is happening. I’m determined to believe that this is one elaborate hoax or possibly the cover up for some new Cloverfield movie. But until I can prove otherwise, there’s apparently actual news being put out.
For one, we’ve learned from Deadline that actress Rosario Dawson has signed on to co-star in the upcoming sequel. No word on who she’ll be playing at this time, but she’ll be joining the likes of Emma Stone, Jesse Eisenberg, Woody Harrelson, and Abigail Breslin. Along with the casting announcement Deadline offers up some details about what the plot will revolve around:
Written by original Zombieland scribes Paul Wernick and Rhett Reese, the sequel centers on the comic mayhem that stretches from the White House and through the heartland. The zombie slayers must face off against the many new kinds of zombies that have evolved since the first movie, as well as some new human survivors. Most of all, they have to face the growing pains of their own snarky, makeshift family.
Along with the Dawson news, we’ve also learned from the “Zombieland” Twitter feed that the film’s official title will be “Zombieland: Double Tap.” Along with the announcement came a new poster that you can check out below. “Zombieland: Double Tap” is expected to hit theaters on October 11th.
