Samuel L. Jackson, John C. Reilly, and Tom Wilkinson Could Head to ‘Skull Island’
Recently Universal’s “Kong: Skull Island” lost a pair of amazingly talented actors in the form of Michael Keaton and J.K. Simmons. However, it would see that the studio is determined to replace the talent with equally potent star power.
According to Deadline Samuel L. Jackson is currently in talks to take over the role once held by J.K. Simmons. Given how both men are known for their incredible ability to yell, it would make sense that Jackson would replace Simmons. However, the deal isn’t cemented yet, so nothing is official at this point. But come on, Jackson has gone toe-to-toe with sharks, snakes, Sith Lords, supervillains and more. How could he pass up the opportunity to add King Kong to that list?
Meanwhile, John C. Reilly has been approached to take over the role once held by Michael Keaton. From my understanding this was also a role that Russell Crowe was up for. To be honest, I’d be happy with either actor. While Reilly is mostly known for his comedy, people forget that he can play rough and tough just as well.
Finally the third actor possibly landing a role on the film is actor Tom Wilkinson who would take on a lead role in the star studded feature. So far the film already has Tom Hiddleston, Brie Larson, and Corey Hawkins attached so it’ll be interesting to see how many more talented actors they can cram into this thing before it’s all said and done.
