Saw 3D Director to Take on Visions

Kevin Greutert, the director behind Saw 3D and Saw VI, has been approached by Blumhouse Productions to take on their supernatural thriller Visions.  Blumhouse recently acquired the spec script from Lucas Sussman who worked on the submarine drama Below.

Variety is reporting that the story is similar in tone to the The Others and centers on a pregnant woman moving to the wine country to be with her husband at their vineyard- a move which triggers terrifying…. VISIONS!  Okay, that’s not how they wrote it, but it seemed appropriate.

Blumhouse hopes to start shooting the picture in the fall.  Greutert’s next horror film, Jessabelle, is expected to hit theaters on January 10, 2014.
